Steamed potato beets and onions

  • Pepper
  • Medium onion
  • Beets
  • Salt
  • Potato
  • Olive oil
  • Bay leaf


  1. Wash the ingredients in plenty of water.
  2. Peel the vegetables. Cut the potato and beetroot into medium slices and cut the onion in half.
  3. Put 3-4oz of water in a steamer (you could also use a strainer or colander). When the water comes to a boil add the vegetables and allow to cook for 10 – 15 mins until ready.Add the bay leaf, pepper and salt while cooking.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil to serve.
