- Medium onion
- In a saucepan, heat a little ghee or butter, add the spices (cumin, cinnamon, and cardamom), and saute until you can smell their aroma. Add the onion (previously minced in a processor), the rice and mix.
- Incorporate water (double the amount of water as rice), add some salt, and cover. cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
- Take out the cinnamon stick, mix and serve.
