Peel the garlic cloves and brown in a large, low pan.
When they have browned slightly, season the rabbit limbs and brown on both sides. Remove from the pan and put to one side.
Peel and finely chop the onions. Leave them to sweat in the same pan used to brown the rabbit and add the bay leaves.
Pour on the vinegar and water and leave to cook for 5 minutes while the vinegar evaporates.
Next, add the rabbit, cover and leave to cook for 20 minutes.
