- Olive oil
Wash and peel potatoes.
Cut into fairly thin slices (they will be easier to cook.)
Put the potatoes onto an oven proof dish with salt, pepper, unpeeled garlic cut in half, herbs to taste, a splash of olive oil and the juice of half a lemon.
Bake for 20 or 30 minutes at 18 degrees C, 350 degrees F, or Gas Mark 4, until the potatoes are cooked through.
